Tips on winding down on stimulants

Update: I forgot I had Lemon balm leaves in my pantry, made some tea with it & knocked out. 🙏 I almost slept in for work the next morning though ———- Anyone have some tips & tricks to get your mind ready for sleep when being on stimulants during the day? I’m on Dexamphetamine (short-acting) and try not to take my last dose past 1pm to help my mind wind down and get tired by the time I need to sleep. However, sometimes I have days where I can’t shut my brain off (like tonight) & I know it’s gonna be a late one. My body is tired but my thoughts say otherwise. These are days where Meditation, sound therapy & stretches don’t do the trick. 😭 I don’t use social media, I deleted all of them (highly recommend it)

Ive found that just listening to Audiobooks on Audible etc. - just the audio helps put me to sleep at night. (previously Id follow along reading the digital copy but now I only do that in the daytime).

You mean that the 1pm dose lasts till your bedtime? For me exercise that exhausts me has helped me. ❤️

I take it at 1pm & It last until 5pm, then my body gradually starts to wind down from the stimulants from 5pm. By the time i eat, shower & relax after work & 9pm hits, I’m ready to knock off to sleep.
