I struggle with adhd and mild depression and I find that reading a really good suspenseful book takes my mind off of all my sadness and struggles.

I started doing guided Wim Hof breathing. Quite a few free videos on YouTube to guide you. Takes about 5 minutes. Do it somewhere safe like your couch or bed. I find that it relieves my anxiety, gives me better focus, and eliminates brain fog.

Usually depression and/or anxiety is a comorbid state when you have ADHD. Treating depression itself always doesn't work. I tried to deal with depression unsuccessfully before I was diagnosed with ADHD. After - I have almost all the answers and I understand the reasons of my depression

It’s called behavioral activation and is a research backed way to combat depression

Get moving on a task. Start with something small and work up to bigger tasks. Accomplishments and movement help the depression, and getting things off your checklist helps adhd. Esp starting small.
