Weird wardrobe
Does anyone else get more done when wearing the “wrong” clothes (think: formal clothes while repotting plants)?

Oh lol I thought this was going to be about personal style. I’m not sure if wearing the wrong clothes for an activity makes me get more done, but I definitely have a weird sense of style. I’m typically over dressed for things as an adult or I cling to odd pairings in casual circumstances. Like if I’m just grabbing pub food and a beer with my husband I might put on a dress that’s too formal because I’m overly excited. Or going to the zoo with my son means I’ve got the backpack full of picnic stuff those funny loose above the knee shorts with socks that are probably too long and tennis shoes, and a T-Shirt with a hat. But then I’m wearing a v-neck brewery shirt and leggings to go on a paddle boat ride lol. When I was a kid I loved clothes with vibrant colors or wild patterns. I wore a zebra print shirt and pants with polka dots in like the 4th grade to school because I thought it was a cool outfit. I had to have pockets on my clothes too so a lot of my clothes came from the boys section. My mom use to tell me that when I was a toddler I had to have my overalls or I would throw a fit and strip naked and run away if she tried to put me in something else. And my pockets were always full of random things and small critters like lizards, snails, rollie-pollie bugs, skinks, and a frog one time. My mom was always frustrated with me not being like normal girls lol. As an adult I still love lots of color and patterns, I just try to tone it down now by pairing wild pieces with solid black pieces. But that’s my weird wardrobe experience :).
