I've been preparing for this for a long time, but the thought that if I do it, I'll have a free evening helps
I wish this would work for me…. the adhd logic in my head is “But it might take longer than I think and then I won’t have a free evening. But if I DON’T do it now, then I get guaranteed free time.” Which is obviously terrible because then I have to do it at 3am. But if i could control it then it wouldn’t be a problem in the first place 🤷♂️
I break down the task as much as I can! Smaller tasks are easier when you try to create momentum I think haha! Sometimes though, my procrastination comes more from emotions toward the task or fear of what the task represents. When that happens and start getting anxious about it, I journal. I try to find the real reason why I’m actually avoiding the task, and try to tie it to my overall goals. But I still avoid things though, baby steps 😅
