How do I make time for fun? All I do is try to get my work done.

I plan for fun and relaxation in my schedule but that gets sucked up by the vicious cycle time sensitive things and deadlines and just being tired 🥱

Ohhh! This! This so much! Between the lack of time management, fatigue it feels so impossible to find a balance. I really truly feel it’d be so much easier if I had a 4 day work week; unfortunately, that won’t be changing anytime soon so in the meantime at least I have this supportive squad for tips!

I struggle with this too. A business manager, homemaker, homeschooler of three. I wear many hats and it seems like a never ending to do list. But I've found that my perception of self worth has been based on so much of what I get done... essentially self worth has to be earned by me completing tasks and giving everyone my all. Once I recognized this pattern I realized that I learned it by my parents, so a learned behavior. The great thing is I am learning to unlearn the behavior lol. My self worth is not valued by this measure. And rest and rejuvenation is absolutely essential to being physically, mentally and spiritually well. So if I apply that thought process, I then make decisions that confirm that. If I find that I don't have enough time for things then I make a list and drop the least priority ones off. And if I find myself to tired to take care of myself... I do the same thing... make a list and figure out where the issue lies. Sometimes it ends up being that I take on too much or set my expectations in an unhealthy place. I've only just started this process but have already seen great results and am excited to see what is ahead in this new season of self care and self love.....

Give yourself rewards for the things you really don't want to do. One of my favorite rewards is being able to read a book and so I try to divide up my daily tasks so that after I'm done with the chapter before I read the next chapter, I do one. Or you could even do it by page but that would be hard for me. Or set a timer and do 15 minutes of a task and then 5 minutes of doing something you enjoy. I don't know what would work best for you, but those are the kind of things I've done for myself. Also remember you don't have to do everything.
