Do you ever feel restless, but also listless at the same time ?…

If if so : what do you do about it ????!!!! I’ve always been the sluggish-ADHDer-type : always exhausted, overthinking from the couch, never doing sports/exercise. I’ve been trying to change that since I have more energy now that I’m on Ritalin, and read so many times that exercising really helps managing ADHD (and, of course, that it’s way better for a person’s health…). But it doesn’t come to me easily, naturally… So I guess the first part of my question is : do you have little tips for introducing physical exercise in someone’s life ? I already try to walk but between work and managing the kids’ activities schedule, it’s not always practical. The second part of my question is about this strange mix of restlessness and listlessness ; I realized recently that it’s a symptom of my PMS : I feel like I’m boiling inside, ready to snap at anyone, wanting to kick something, not from anger or anything emotional really, but just to let all this energy out, but at the same time I feel tired, a little lethargic… I guess it’s probably because I don’t know what to do about that… So what do you recommand ? Sit-ups and push-ups ? Improvised Zumba session in front of my TV ?… I’m sure you have something for me, please share 🙏🏻

Unfortunately I’m in the same boat as you and still haven’t figured it out. When I feel like you I just start walking around the house and eventually find a task that needs doing and do it, even if it’s a small one.

Sounds a little bit like depression. And yoga might be a way to start. It’s not all contortions and hard poses.

I started to run in the morning (3 times a week) about 2.5 years ago. It’s easy to do whenever, wherever and you can always get into it. Just start slow with run/walks and just do a little more every time.
