How do you chunk down what feels like Mount Everest?

I have way too many things on my plate. It’s like I went to the all you can eat buffet and brought a pick up truck for a plate. Consequently, my life right now is a total mess and I’m responsible for three other peoples lives and finances as I’m their guardian for that. Every time I start to try and attack the mountains I may get a little bit done and then feel so exhausted and overwhelmed that I go to sleep. Anyone have suggestions or help? Thank you.

This may not be helpful, but I would start with the simplest, easiest thing to do. Even if it is just taking out the trash. Whatever it is. Once that is done something else will inevitably become the simplest task to do. Start easy and work your way up. Also, as my mom has always told me: not a single adult on this planet gets everything they want done every day. For most people that is rare. So, don’t be too hard on yourself for having things still left undone. To use your metaphor: one bite at a time; not the whole buffet at once. It’s a marathon; not a sprint.

I am really liking the subtasks that are auto generated as it is hard to think about how I can break this thing(large task) into manageable pieces.

Don’t attack it! Sneak up on it. Go slowly! One baby step at a time! Don’t fill this app with all the todos. Just the necessary ones at first. Build a routine. Set yourself in the center. Try to be healthy and you’ll get more stamina. Then you can take ONE of your tasks and do it. Just one! Then rest, but don’t sleep. The next day you might do two smaller tasks.

This sounds like my exact situation. Just trying to stay positive is the only thing I can do it seems for now.
