I use this app for my routines : check out my calendar, check out my to-do lists (work, home), take my meds, drink water (I have a reminder for the morning and another for the afternoon, solve my daily Chess problem, etc. It really helps having a list specially dedicated to your daily habits…
Try pairing - is there something else you can do at the same time? Also - I have had good luck with the idea that things don’t have times that are the only time they can be done. Even if you want to do these in the morning, if you remember at noon that works too. Doing it late (or early) is better than not doing it at all.
Reminders in the phone help. What helps me probably the most is literally building a routine. What I mean is, with things I need to do daily, like brushing teeth or in your case the rubber bands for the braces, I try to do that in the same sequence every day. At first you have to think about it (setting daily routines in Numo and making sure everything is checked off helps in the beginning, although I still do it, just to make sure nothing is forgotten). At a certain point you just have to go through the motions without having to give it much thought. Also putting things where I can see them when I need them. For example my meds and supplements are in a place where I pass them in the morning when I need to take them. So long story short, a repeated sequence of motions and visual cues plus a checklist help me really well. 🍀
