Effective relaxation - structure with flexibility

Yesterday, I started using an AuDHD workbook by Kristin Kathryn Pena (highly recommended!), which gave me the idea of setting up a basket with things that help me relax in the evening: books, magazines, paper, brushes and paints, juggling balls, knuckle bones, begleri. For going on walks and exercising I’ll add symbols. It's now prominently displayed and I want to spend my evenings entertaining myself with it. I was going to buy a basket, but then I found a felt bag that I don't use otherwise. ☺️

Love this. Reminds me of the “dopamine menu” idea

Always make room for sudden changes in routine. The reasons why my routines always flop is because I made routines that aren't favorable for my AuDHD brain. Always have something to look forward to each day since it helps me to work toward it but the problem i also have is when my executive dysfunction makes going through each day hard asf. Thankfully I made it a point to go to my community college where I reconnected with my former bosses while met three new peeps
