Feeling like nothing sinks into your brain

First post but I have a super burning questions for years I have struggled with anything really making sense I.e I watch a video or read a book and it just doesn’t seem to register, am I the only one with this issue?

I definitely I agree. If I don’t write it down, it almost immediately disappears from my brain! Sticky notes and notebooks are my besties. :)

Yep, me too! It's great for watching films and TV etc, because when you watch a film, most of the time I think it's the first time I've watched it. Even if my hubby explains what happens and I then watch it too, I often still can't remember. 😂 Just call me Dory! 'Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming! Hi, my name's Dory!' 😂 I've learnt to write things down a lot or message/email people instead of call, so you have a log of what you've both said. I have a friend who is also forgetful so you can imagine some of our conversations when we've not written something down! 😂😂 xx

I write down basically EVERYTHING to remember! Or I forget…

I struggle with this soo often. I watched a documentary 3 times over a year because I kept forgetting I had already watched it until a vaguely familiar scene. My system is for books I have a Kindle. I can take notes and highlights and read them all later. For tv-shows/movies, I’ve come to accept it as a pro. I track every movie I’ve loved in a doc so when I eventually forget everything about it, I can re-enjoy it later. Writing things down also helps. I have a plain black journal with a little legend of: quote, media, journal entry, to-do’s (that I later add here), etc. I don’t think there’s one solution, but you can create a system that works for you :)

You're not alone. I can read, listen or watch something but at the end it's like nothing stuck in my head and I have to do it all over again and even then it's really hard to get just a little info to stay to make sense of anything. It's just fog everywhere in the brain and no focus whatsoever
