I haven’t been on here for a while, but today I received a phone call from my therapist. I got it! I’ve got AD-freaking-HD, and will start on medication this summer!! My suspicion was absolutely correct, and it took me 36 years to discover! I’m so happy, I could cry!😭❤️ It’s nothing wrong with me. There’s an explanation for so many things!❤️❤️ I just wanted to share with you all, because you understand what I have and are going through.
I remember the moment I got my diagnosis at 26 years old. It is one of my clearest memories to date. The psychiatrist told me , “you have moderate/severe depression and anxiety and ADHD. No wonder you’re having a hard time.” Not to be dramatic, but I feel like I can divide my life into pre diagnosis and post diagnosis. An infinitely heavy weight fell away in that moment. Please relish this time. It’s a beautiful feeling🫶🏼
