When circumstances don’t align

Today, I felt like everyone around me was going against me keeping the course I had set for myself. I ended up exhausted. I suspect that’s what I was expecting… a glorious path filled with obstacles… maybe it’s just a belief… and if by just expecting everything to flow as I had planned? Would anything change?

Don’t give up that easily. You can always ask them to wait until you finish that task that you’re doing and then go and see what they need (if it’s not an emergency that is). So that way you’re still getting things done. Just remember to set a timer on your phone for how much time that you want to step away, and once the timer goes off, excuse yourself and get back on track. Life is just going to keep throwing you curveballs it’s how you find a way to work around them is how you be productive

Thank you for your response, I've tried, but if I pause to reflect on it, I realize that a part of me wants to stop doing my work, and any distraction helps me escape. Feeling dissatisfied with not progressing at the expected pace, or feeling stuck, or simply being bored and lacking motivation, coupled with the pressure of deadlines, doesn't make me feel comfortable. Does this happen to you?
