What does your morning routine look like?

What sets you up for living your best life? What habits do you struggle with maintaining?

Wash up Salah Listen Quran Drink coffee and eat 1 tbsp PB Ride spin bike or skateboard Start first task. Salah, the action of prostrating and reciting verses of the Quran, and exercise help me the most. Not waking up on time throws a wrench into everything though….or thinking and fixating on this point is the real problem.

Having a backup plan is a good idea. I take my morning med, feed my two fur babies, grab a cup of coffee and sit in my swing chair out on my patio. I’m up pretty early on work days so I’ll watch the sky as it brightens or spend some time writing in my journal. I’ll then I often say, “Oh, shoot! I gotta get going!” And rush through the rest of my morning getting ready. One thing that helps is my “out the door” list I keep on my phone so that I’m don’t have to hurry back inside because I’ve remembered something when I got to the car.

My morning routine is three things: taking my meds, dressing up and coffee. In case a morning is really a challenge, I have a backup plan (I keep some of my meds at work and all required stuf for a delicous coffee). I usually start eating around 11h at work. I completely gave up on the breakfast at home part! 🤣
