How do adult students manage possible add? I work FT & have kids & hub

I struggle to study, comprehend, and organize everything. No meds because I have them properly diagnosed because of metal health and thyroid disease. I take no meds at all because I fail to remember to take them daily. Help. I am also a nurse so a caregiver that takes care of others before myself. I am 35 with a busy teenage daughter.

Just started my studies, bachelors in education, I work full time as a support teacher for an autistic 4 y/o f. I have a 3 yo and a husband at home, 2 dogs and a cat. We are also renovating an old house and we have very little support because half of our family lives in the Uk. Don’t know why I do this to myself but it’s super overwhelming. I’m on meds so that helps but have a heard time creating a good schedule and keeping to it 🤦‍♀️

Currently a full time teacher, full time student, and full time mom. I do take medication however I feel like setting a strict schedule helps me. On the first day of a class, I go ahead a look at all the assignments and when they are due. I struggle with writing papers. I look up what the topics are and make notes. That way while I am going through the coursework, I have a mental and tangible note of information that may be valuable later. I also study the same time every day. My kids are fairly young and go to bed at 7:30. So I study and do course work from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. I also use text to speech options when I need to read my textbooks or article. My textbooks are digital and usually have an audiobook option. I’ll listen whenever I have a free moment (getting ready in the morning, lunch break, in the car, etc.) I hope this helps! Good Luck!

I think the text to book is amazing. It is what they are trying for my granddaughter who is struggling in school. She is in 3rd grade and is about a 1st grade level reader. Also her teacher has flash cards for all grades so she can start from the beginning. I have started to get them into a routine especially on school days, because their parents just let them go and do what they want. I am struggling to keep the schedule after dinner. Well between after school and bedtime really. So thank you for the suggestion

Currently in graduate school part time, part time internship, and full time job in a group home with a caseload of KROL, but the ones with ASPD. So. Idk if you are a nurse working shifts, but try to get as much of a routine as possible. Also try and get a diagnosis (mentions possible add?) to get accommodations. May very well help with a busy lifestyle, especially with school. I work in mental health, so I know the struggle with self-care. You mentioned taking care of others before yourself makes me feel you understand the importance of self care, but possibly finding it difficult or almost impossible to have the time for it like me sometimes.. or I'm wrong lol let your husband know what's going on and ask for some extra help with the kids sine you're in school.

Definitely make sure you're taking care of yourself first as hard as that is and mean as it sounds. I work pt and now have 3 kids myself. I'm unmedicated as well because I won't take simulants and the nonstim. Was making me aggressive. I'm on this app and some others to try and figure it out. I do notes/lists and so many alarms.
