Element of mystery

Wondering if it's possible to have a task be assigned on a random future day or over several days throughout the year. Okay, hear me out. Sometimes a little excitement can keep me motivated when things start to become too similar and too structured 😜. Even though structure is amazing for us....I know. Anyway, I made a jar with random backlog, fun activities, chores, random acts of kindness or baking that I think would be fun to pop up on my to do list to keep things fresh and exciting. 😊

Maybe you could suggest this to the Numo admin as it sounds like an amazing idea πŸ’‘. For now I just put those kind of things in backlog. I am also a hobbiest at heart and am going to try your jar idea. Thank you. πŸ’–

I second this idea. I seem to put the tasks I really don’t want to do in backlog.

Hi, sure! So, let me simplify what I mean. Let's say I have a jar at home with little notes that have various random activities or tasks. The notes are on pieces of paper and mixed in the jar randomly. Now, what if I could enter a task in Numo that was called "Take a note from the jar" and instead of picking a day to complete it or setting up a routine.....I instead have a "surprise me" option. Numo will randomly assign "Take a note from the jar" on a random day within the week. Even better would be the option to assign the task randomly of the next month, or year as many times as I specify. I could say task: "Take a note from the jar" routine: "Surprise me" Frequency: "Choose 75 random days over the next 9 months". The end result would be that sometimes when I wake up and look at my task list, I'll see "Take a note from my jar". I'll know that today I will open a note with one of these random activities and have something interesting to do. Side note: This would be a great way to utilize the backlog list! Make it so that the backlog items surprise you so that they don't become forgotten forever haha. Anyways, I've got many ideas. I've always wanted to use an app like this. Thank you!
