9-30-22 I made a commitment that I would attend at least 1 class per week (it’s only 2 nights a week) .. I am 47 lbs down .. start small and stay consistent

Agreed with all above, but I’ve been trying to start even smaller. Riding my bike for one loop on the street. Eventually adding the second half of the street (massive hill) whatever. It’s probably only 5-10 minutes but doing it every day has helped me feel great! I have been tripping up though and not doing it but I’m trying to remember not to beat myself up about it. That’s the biggest thing. If I start guilting myself then I definitely will never do it

I set myself the smallest goal of “move” for 30 days which meant it didn’t matter what I did as long as I moved (think REALLY small), and I tried different things during those 30 days. With consistency I was able to find things I actually enjoyed and because I didn’t set out to do anything specific I never felt like a failure as long as I moved. Turns out I liked walking with a buddy and now I like rowing too. Having a buddy to go through the journey with you helps keep it fun.

1. Start small - you can begin by researching the most fun activity or by buying comfy shoes 2. Set realistic goals - for example, a 30-minute walk every day it's enough for the start 3. Make a dopamine boost music playlist or pick up a good podcast or audiobook to program your brain to feel this activity is fun not a chore 4. Listen to your body, don't push too hard on yourself 5. Drink liquids, and take iron and magnesium daily 6. If you get used to everyday walking, you can add another activity, for example, 20min yoga 3 times a week 7. Come back with the feedback :D

Don’t set goals that aren’t realistic. Do things you like so you enjoy it and it’s not a punishment. Don’t quit on yourself. Give yourself grace.
