Exercise?

I have a really hard time sticking to exercise routines. Either I get really insane about them or I drop them entirely and then it’s hard to go back. I also can only do live classes otherwise I just don’t do it. Anyone have any strategies that work for them? I love hiking, walking, swimming, biking etc but I want to develop a consistent routine at home.

For me personally when I do a routine that “ends”, such as like a 4 week, or 6 week etc where their are specific results expected.. I find I’m highly motivated to complete the routine. It helps to have a vacation or something planned out too lol

The routine part is what gets me so I just move my body in whatever way feels supportive. I’m working on making the process of checking in to see what movement my body needs a routine rather than the exercise itself!

I've had decent luck with fun exercise like dancing and at random times like when I feel like it during the day but i haven't had much luck sticking with routine exercise either. Sometimes I'll take a simple walk down the street or if i really go all out I'll go in a hike and take my camera which helps it feel like it's making art not really exercise. Hope this was helpful for you

Learn a new skill and challenge yourself. My current goal is handstands. It gives you something to focus on.

I do Yoga with YouTube (Yoga with Adriene), it feels like doing it with a friend. And I just started with a workout plan at my gym. It helps me to have a plan and to know when to go and what to do.

I walk a ton already… I need to be in a class to do anything more than that, otherwise I just don’t do it

Walk or bike to the gym EVERYDAY If you feel like going in to work out? GREAT! If you don’t feel like going in, walk or bike back and you have at least moved your body and a reason to tick off one of your daily habit trackers. That works for me :)
