Teacher

I’m a teacher with ADHD and serious imposter syndrome. Regularly worried that I have no business teaching kids to regulate and organize when I often feel like I can’t even manage myself

Me too but I feel like that’s what makes us the best for the job! We relate to what they’re struggling with and it makes them want to listen more! I teach middle school resource room and I love telling my students now that I have an official diagnosis because even though I’m pretty disorganized and I struggle with deadlines and showing up on time for things, for some of my 6th graders, it’s the first time they’re seeing an adult that they look up to that has similar struggles that they do. It has really helped me build stronger relationships with my kiddos this year.

I’m a teacher too. It’s tough, imposter syndrome wears you down.

I feel you, I used to be a teacher too. And just having to deal with kids everyday is hard.
