Getting a diagnosis 😖

I have just paid $895 to a psychiatrist to be assessed for ADHD/ ASD. My daughter is 40 and has just been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD and she told me that she sees the same traits in me. I have often thought I might have both. The psychiatrist wasn’t interested in giving me a diagnosis other than extreme anxiety and PTSD. So now I have no idea if I do or don’t have it but everything people say on this site resonates with me so much. How did everyone else find out one way or the other?
