There’s a time for everything

Since I've been using this app, I've realized that not everything on my to-do list has to be done today. I often felt overwhelmed by such to-do list apps. As if it wasn't self-explanatory, my brain was always of the opinion that I had to do "everything immediately" and if I didn't complete a task, it was "my fault". And although I know better I'm just now realizing it, *the to do list never ends* (🤯😂) and that's ok because there is a time for everything. I'm still working on it to not feel guilty and seeing that people in my squad have good and bad days too and sometimes don't do anything and that's just ok is a good feeling on my own bad days 💙 Hope you all have a wonderful day 🫂🙃

I feel the same way! When I put something on the list it makes me want to immediately get out of the way hahaha which I guess works but I also implement a rewarding system for checking off my boxes. I get either 20 minutes of TikTok (prevents me from endless scrolling), a sweet treat, ect. I don’t expect to complete them all but I do set a minimum score of the day to keep me accountable but not go in perfectionist mode

kirmesimKopf, the best tip I got on this problem was to create a “Power List,” with just 3 high priority items on it. Now that’s not to say you don’t have other things to do, but 3 is doable. Conquer those three tasks, and then pull other things from your list over to you Power List once you’re done. I learned this tip from the YouTube channel, “How to ADHD.” If you haven’t checked it out, give it a try. The host, Jessica, shares life experiences and tips in bit sized nuggets. She’s even shown her struggle with laundry with her viewers. My Power List today is to finalize my budget, fix the whole in my Big Joe chair, and clean my living room. What’s yours?

I felt that way yesterday! You are right, it is ok that you don’t do it all. As long as you thought about it and wrote it down. Now you have the opportunity to adapt to do it later. And again yes! Noticing the squad goes up and down on different days, makes it all seems like a common effort. You ain’t alone sis x
