Have hope?

How can everyone have hope with adhd when your mind keeps shaming you of things you did and you can’t stay still and then you get shamed for doing things you can’t control by yourself.

Amelia is right! I see my adhd as a bonus, just one I need to make accommodations for. I’ve done a lot of work on my internal self talk, and now that I know that the reason I have a lot of the problems I have is because of adhd I’m able to be much kinder to myself, as opposed to when I just thought it was an issue of being forgetful and a weirdo. When you catch yourself thinking a mean or shaming thought to yourself try to pause and correct it to something positive, even if you don’t fully believe it yet. Eventually if you keep catching the bad thoughts and replacing them like this they will mostly go away. I hope that helps. Self awareness is super important. 💗

For me, it was to get yourself better and just be gentle with yourself 🩵 we got a 4k processor in ’90s hardware, moreover - we are living in a neurotypical system, so it's ok to make mistakes or be different than all the regulars around you
