I can’t seem to stop micro managing? Like changing my wallpaper on my

Phone! Or moving around the stuff on my coffee table! But food shopping, bill payments, general cleanliness of my flat just doesn’t get done? Any suggestions please? 🙏🏻

I like changing wallpapers in the last minute of some deadlines QwQ I feels the same. Maybe write it down and do it later could help. But sometimes something in my head tells me that I have to do it. So i just let it be and do it as quickly as possible:)

Sometimes it works if I “allow” myself to do something that is really not that useful - but only after doing some “must dos”. Or I rate “must dos” as XL tasks in Numo so I get at least a lot of Karma Points 😜. And breaking a big task down into baby steps is also a good way to at least start.

I'm in my best workflow, if I accept the stuff, I want to clean/range, and then to change to the stuff I have to- It's like I need to proof myself I can do stuff, and after to hours I manage a small slice of stuff "I have to" it's why I start my numo list with prepare coffee... i would never have a problem about hours with that, but writing an email could start with- "press power button of the laptop, get an idea, what I write, bring it in order, scan documents, send it" Something like that, I hope it helps a bit. "Executive Disfunction" might help you as a term.

What you can try: Doing it with other persons, f.e. body doubling, I like to prepare laundry if I'm on the telephone with friends, for bills, I pay them in the moment I get them in my hand-Or- if it's not possible, I set an alarm clock in my phone!!! And: you are here, you have already started, getting better. For body doubling there are apps out there as well! Good luck, with working out, what helps you the most.
