Obvious breakthroughs

Sometimes I have an aha moment and I am excited about it but then when I tell others they say that was obvious. It feels like they are saying I’m stupid. For example, my partner and I have struggled to find a bedspread that we both like. We’ve gone through several different ones over 5 years. Granted, we didn’t make it a priority. Now that I’m focusing more on self care, I was determined to find one we both like and we finally did..a beautiful white bed set. When I told my mom, she said she thought it was strange it took so long to come to that conclusion. For me, it’s the little things that sometimes seem like the hardest thing ever.

Some people just don't think before they speak :/ Obvious things are different for everyone, and what may be obvious to someone is not to another person. Simply because we all perceive things differently through our own experiences. Some find it hard to imagine that those experiences might be different. It can be frustrating, but all of these people could just as easily be in your shoes, and you in theirs) It’s alright
