Surprise ADD

I got diagnosed with OCD years ago, but so many ADD traits have screamed "that's me" that I finally got a therapist to screen me for it. Turns out what I likely ACTUALLY have is Overfocused ADD. Totally new to this perspective and I have very limited tools in my tool box to deal. Any tips? 🫠

I'm a bit the same. I'm doing an assessment to get a diagnosis at the moment. I'd say it's important to get professional help. With that said, - using alarms/calendar to not get stuck in things - if you find yourself ruminating a lot, have a dedicated slot for "thinking/solving". The rule being that you have to postpone the worry to that time slot. It's not perfect and doesn't work all the time.

I like that idea!
