People get generous then you are nice to them!

Sometimes people wanna help just because you was nice to them before. That’s what I thought today when we gave the last bags to the old people on our island. We went to one man and his wife, both 65 this year. That’s the age we count as “old” here, cuz that’s when you can retire in Sweden. If two old people live together they get two bags each, of course. Everyone gets the same. We give to all, rich or poor. And this couple is like super rich, they own a lot of land. But when we gave them the bags, the man started to cry. He said, “You give to us too? I almost feel ashamed to take it, but it’s such a beautiful gift – food from all the farms and fishermen together – so I can’t say no.” Then he said, “I can make it right. It’s your dad who runs this, right Noah? Tell him to send me a message with the bank number and I promise to give 50 000 kronor every year to support this. But please keep giving me and my wife the bags just like everyone else. They are bags of love!” (50 000 kr is a lot! It’s about 5000 EUR or USD) And I got a little tears in my eyes but didn’t show it. Cuz dad says when you help people just because you want to, not cuz you get something back, then it’s like you get paid in your heart instead of in money. And I think that old man really understood that.
