Notes problem

Hello ! I would like to use the tip of putting notes everywhere in my house but I'm afraid of how the people who will come to my house will think or react, how to manage this problème? Thank you for your answers

This may be a stupid question but what do u wrote on the notes is it things as obvious and routine as do the dishwasher or brush teeth or more like empty old food out of fridge on bin day?

We have one wall of the kitchen painted with chalkboard paint that anyone can write on. It's a lifesaver! Good for things to remember, shopping lists, chore lists, or just nice notes / drawings to eachother 🙂

My sister in law came to visit last month and saw my notes helping me to remember daily tasks (this app is great but if it’s not open on my phone, then I don’t see the reminders and forget to do the tasks). I love her but she can be a little judgey. When she asked about all the notes, I took it as an opportunity to disclose to her (I hadn’t yet told her about my ADHD) that my ADHD causes my brain connections to fail and it’s really hard for me to keep tasks in my head. I have to see a physical reminder of something to remember to do it. She was pretty understanding and thanked me for opening up to her (something I don’t often do with anybody). But then, God love her, she couldn’t resist adding, “And it explains a lot.” I could only laugh because it does explain a lot!

I have posters up in my home with pieces hanging off that I tear off when I need to remember to do something. It’s like the flyers with a contact number on them. I’m not super concerned what other ppl think because ultimately it helps me manage my adhd traits. I make them pretty and positive so they blend in to the decor. If you think about it how often have you gone into someone’s home and read from paper hanging on the wall. Most ppl assume it’s for organisation which it is, unless someone is nosy 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve often pointed them out to friends so they can see a helpful tool to manage tasks.

TL:DR - sometimes you have to give people a chance to accept you. It is my personal belief that what you do in your own space to set yourself up best for success is nobody’s business but your own. That being said, it has been my experience that most people that have come in and seen my notes and things stuck everywhere have been curious and asked what they were for. When I told them they were there to remind me of things they were understanding and basically let it go.
