How has your ADHD been a positive force for you?

I posed a question yesterday about whether ADHD is in fact a super power. An uncontrolled one we might say. I was so excited to read that others perceived it similarly. From using our perfectionism to create amazing work to letting our minds wander to see perspectives others can’t. Have you been able to harness its power? Or have there been those moments that you might have found it to actually help? What has that looked like for you? For context I’ve fallen in love with the concept of being “anti-fragile” and strategic thinking. So I’ve been thinking a lot about how to use what we’ve been told is a “problem” to my advantage.

Love this take. I have definitely found strengths and useful traits that come from my ADHD. That perfectionism thing and the different perspective you mentioned are huge, especially in my chosen profession of graphic design. As long as I can keep the procrastination at bay and rein in the perfectionism to a point where it doesn't paralyze me or keep me working on a project beyond reason, these things serve me extremely well. ❤

Same here. When I find something interesting I do tend to hyper focus on every detail. I want to know the depth, breadth, and width of whatever the topic is.

My ADHD superpower helps me in my work (well, sometimes!!) Hyperfocus on learning all the details of a new case, finding those 'ah-ha' facts and putting together the legal strategy to handle the case is SUCH a rush!
