I think diagnosis can be stressful, even when it comes as a relief. Behaviours that we may have glossed over or distracted ourselves from get dragged kicking and screaming into the limelight; they're more visible, they're taking up more brain space, and we're learning to relate to them in new ways.
Maybe the brain wants to see them in action armed with this new knowledge and start piecing together a fresh paradigm, no? Or maybe it's just a wee bit overloaded, making inhibitory behaviour less accessible to it.
Although it's easier said than done, I hope you can accept it as part of your process, and observe it with curiosity and self-compassion.
