The month of holidays

This will start a little sad but then it gets more happy so please read all. How are you all? I'm like good I guess. It's a little bit strange in my life right now cuz of like stuff happening and my family are in a not nice situation cuz ppl that like hate us cuz we are Jews but we stay strong and my dad's are like the best parents ever so it's still ok I think. If things don't get better I will be sent to relatives in Israel and then dads will come after then they fixed all things at home but I hope we can stay in sweden cuz I don't know the language in Israel so good and it's like a hot desert country and I'm a swedish farm boy so lots of different I think. But I have to brag a little cuz it's going really well in school now! I got like an A+ on a book report of Candide by Voltaire. That was actually a good book even if its like really really old. I like it cuz a lot of sarcasm and like it feels like it's not always give right to adult thinking like instead it want us to think for ourselves. I end my book report like this so I will end this with it. I wrote it in Swedish of course so this is translated by AI cuz my English is not great: THE ENDING – “WE MUST CULTIVATE OUR GARDEN” When Candide finally says that we must “cultivate our garden,” it felt like the whole book suddenly made sense. After everything he has seen, everything he has gone through, all the lies and disasters, he comes to the conclusion that the only thing you can truly do is take care of your own life and do your own work as well as possible. I interpret it like this: • You should stop believing that you can control everything. • You should do your own part properly. • You shouldn’t pretend to understand everything. • You should take responsibility where you stand. It feels like one of the wisest messages I’ve read. And it feels like something even we in school should think about. Instead of focusing on everything huge and overwhelming, you can start small and make your own everyday life better. --- Soon its like Chanukka and then Christmas so it's like the month of celebration. In my family we celebrate both cuz we are Jewish and we live in a Christian country so it's both important for us. Christian holidays are a little bit more fun then the Jewish ones cuz Jewish holidays are like most always to remind us about ppl hating us and we made it cuz of some miracle so let's celebrate life so it's like more serious in some way but chanukka is like the best one cuz then all adults have to give money to kids 😎🕎 and right after it's Christmas and then all adults have to give presents to kids so it's will be an expensive month for my dad's 😜👻 but I have made presents for them also and for Grandpa. But only for Christmas. For chanukka it's only the adults that give but instead it's like extra important for kids to follow the most important mitzvah: "Honor your father and mother" cuz its like the same important for us like honor Hashem and i use to joke about it and say "but I don't have a mother only two father's so it's not apply to me!" But I know it does like it's not like important if it's like 2 dads or 2 mom's or one of each cuz its honor your parents that is the important message but then they wrote it, it was like only straight family's. So happy chanukka and merry christmas! Take care! ✡️❤️✝️

Happy chanukka and merry christmas for you too! I do miss the order: parents should love/respect their children, too... but I'm Christian, or raised like one. ☺️ For Israel: it's really crazy times ahead, I'm sorry to hear this. Take Care! 🥺

Yes of course my dad's like love and respect me but it's not like a big mitzvah cuz maybe like I think that is like the default setting cuz like it's not many parents that revolt against their kids right? But its like many kids that don't respect and obey their parents and like many kids I know is really not very nice to their parents and they dont do as they are told to. But i think you have like the same rule in christianity cuz my friend is really christian and in like the pentecostal church (I dont know if they is right but I translated the Swedish word and got that ) and i follow him s lot to they youth service in his church cuz no synagogue there I live and lik3 its really nice kids in the church like q bit the same as Jewish kids in the synagogue. They are not like fighting and they are not bad to there parents and the youth pastor say like the exact thing as the rabbi and youtleader in synagogue. And its like in the Thora so Christians also believe in that scripture cuz it's like the first books in what you call old testament anf I think it's that you call the 10 commandments lite like the constitution of Hashems law and its like the same important to honor your parents as it is to honor Hashem it say so anyway. But idk if you think different of it then Jews really. Shabbat Shalom snd have nice weekend! ❤️🩵✡️

Happy Holidays ✨ Enjoyed reading part of your school project. It gives us peace to understand we can take accountability for our part in things but let go of the parts that are not our own and under our control.

I’m sorry you have to struggle through this! I know the feeling as well, because I live in America, and my town is very “trump” town. I feel like me and my family are the only ones who are not “trump” people. Happy Holidays!

Thanks! I don't know so much about American politics but I have heard that a lot of gay ppl (I think you mostly use the term LGBTQ right?) don't like trump. In Sweden its a lot of different cuz my dad's are gay (obviously 🤣) and like there is no Swedish political party that is like against gay marriage and gay rights and also like no party want to have death penalty and no party want to change laws about abortion (we have like really liberal laws about abortion) so like most gay men are conservative and most gay women are left liberals in sweden. One of my dad's are a member of local government for the conservative party "Christ democrats" and its like funny cuz that is the most pro Jewish party in sweden cuz we have s lot of problem with antisemitism since like the 7 October 2 years ago... 😖 I hope it will be better for you and your family in that trump place and that ppl will be more tolerant and stop the hate. 🩵❤️

Thank you! At least I live in Massachusetts, so it is a better state to live in! Because most of the laws that are for the country, the states choose which ones they will use. But Massachusetts, uses not any like death penalty’s or anything for LGBTQ+ people, it’s just that my town is pretty crappy. :(

No it was not bad. I think I understand. Then it's sometimes hard to understand the whole thing about usa cuz do different from my county cuz USA is like q really big country and then you have like states that in someway is like own little countries (or not little, most of them have way many more ppl then the whole country of Sweden) also like its a bit different culture between American states but not anyway close to the difference between European country's cuz USA is like multicultural from the beginning and Europe is still like ethnicstates even if we become multicultural also but like you se difference between a French and Swedish person most of the times.
