My mom actually knew since I was 6 or 7 because apparently she took me to a doctor and I was diagnosed, but she listened to what the doctors in my country believed 20+ years ago (that ADHD was just a childhood problem) and decided to keep it a secret and wait for me to 'outgrow' my ADHD. But I didn't. I crashed and now, at 29 years old (diagnosed again at 27), I'm still at university, trying to get a degree, juggling my diagnosis, my crippled self esteem and my inability to keep friendships alive😅 it's going great😅 I am working on myself a lot, though, that's a start💪🏻

Called and said "hey I finally got that diagnosis, starting meds soon". I'm number 4 of my siblings diagnosed. Recently one more got it, and that leaves just one without, the most obvious case amongst us as adults🤪

My family is very tolerant and understanding, so I just told them by phone.

My parents don’t believe in ADHD so it’s not really a conversation unfortunately
