Comfort food

Does eating comfort food help lighten your mood? I’m in Asia rn and ofc I can eat rice everyday but food from my childhood (potato, for example) at least once a week really keeps me on track! Don’t hesitate to write a comment, I’m curious

I'm in Asia too rn (Japan) :) But not for too long so I'm not getting the need for comfort food. But I agree it's more about the texture. I like more moist and jelly things. 😂 and crispy can be too much for me, especially like cookies that ar hard and dry, it can go through my bones 😅😂 it's a direct translation from my native language - Latvian 😂 here I can find a lot of things that has a great texture 😍🍡🍙

Anything crispy or crunchy makes me feel happy. Anything too dry will make me 🤢 unless it’s crispy 😅 I guess it’s more of a texture thing for me rather than specific foods. For example, I don’t like boiled potatoes, but I love oven baked potatoes, hash browns and fries. As well as I love cherry tomatoes, but I hate slices of dry tomatoes… 🙂

Ahhh yess the texture! I used to looove baked Camembert cheese, but once my bf overcooked it so it got some weird jelly-ish texture and after that I’m not fan of Camembert at all 😆 I was so frustrated trying to find replacement for lunch, cuz before I could eat it everyday!
