Love food, hate preparing it 😫

This is very much my ADHD 😅 - I really like to eat good things but I never (seem to) have the time/ motivation to cook because my current task is always more relevant than my need to eat… so I end up with a tendency to bad nutrition, eating always too late or when I’m already a bit shaky because of low blood sugar 🫣. Do you experience this, too? What helps you to get you motivated to prepare and cook food?

One of my favorite lunches broiled salmon (takes minutes to cook) with dill garlic and boiled zucchini with olive oil lemon salt. The starch is missing here.

I have been doing a lot of boiling chicken or salmon with salt and rice in the same water to transfer flavor and then add yogurt dill and lemon 🍋 and olive oil. This usually lasts a few days. Sometimes instead of rice I will do potato and zucchini.

Lunch for work is a vegetable mix out of the freezer, some pasta and a sauce from a jar. Takes 10-15 minutes to put together and I prepare it for 2 days. So no cooking each day. I work with timers, music or a podcast to make it more enjoyable. On the weekend, depending on my energy level I cook more time consuming dishes. But always with music or a story to listen to. Sometimes I make chocolate pudding with different ingredients. During the time I have to stir the milk i read an ebook so its not so boring.

Sounds good 👍! I also like to cook for several days - it’s just a great feeling to have something good and ready-to-eat in the fridge 🙌. I even read while I’m eating to make it less boring 😆

I try to figure out meals that are Very Easy to make and healthy and delicious. (Not the kind you see in videos where they say it will only take 5 minutes, ‘cause, they don’t) For example, for lunch at work I eat Pita bread with hummus and cucumber. I buy one pack of Pita, one pack of hummus and one cucumber, and I have enough for three lunches. I leave everything at work, and put it together during my lunch break. You can also use chatGPT for ideas for easy nutritious meals with only three ingredients or so. If he gives recipies that still are timeconsuming, ask for easier, until he gets it ;) Also, a piece of fruit as dessert is a very easy way to get some more vitamins!

This have not to do with food but cuz it’s no other way to talk to ppl here then forum I ask you here: I looked at you profile and se you write a lot of rutins and stuff in another language that looks German but are maybe not German. Where are you from? And I se you like Pippi Långstrump. (But in another language) im from Sweden and the biggest children’s hospital in my country is named after the author Astrid Lindgren and she is like one of the most famous swedes ever. Have a nice weekend!

I am German and a great admirer of Astrid Lindgren ❤️. Although my ADHD is Pippi Langstrumpf as a character, my favorite book is Vi på Saltkråkan 😊
