If you can find ways to get through them and/or find time to take breaks where you don’t need to focus I highly recommend. Been on the same dose for 18 months and breaks have helped me not have to up.

It depends on the type of medication you take. There is some evidence that drops are more difficult with extended release d-ampeht if you aren't taking it as consistently

XR releases the same amount of meds through your system just over time so you don’t have to take multiple doses. Curious why they would be harder to take breaks on?

Tell me what that means exactly and I can give input. I'm new to this 💓

Your body begins to tolerate and get used to your medication over time making it less effective. Your body is all about the path of least resistance, so if the medicine is doing it’s job, it’ll start to slack off letting the medication do the work. At that point, you’ll need to up your dosage to get the same effect. In order to combat this, you can take a tolerance break where you don’t take the medication so that your body doesn’t get used to letting the medication doing the work and you will ideally have to go up in dosage less, which means you can stay on that medication longer since you won’t hit the upper limit as fast.
