What are some of your favorite fidgets?

I love the clicky slugs (pictured), magnetic rings you can spin around your fingers. I finally discovered/acknowledged /realized how helpful it is to fidget with physical items! 😂

I love magnets and magnetic rings! Or really anything I can fidget in my left hand while using my computer mouse in my right hand.

So ironic, one of my clients at work has one of these and I was playing with it today lol. I need to invest in a fidget for myself.

I have tried a LOT lately. The ones I’ve ended up enjoying the most are almost all created by neurodivergent folks for others. 1. the Ono Roller 2 metal rolling barrels that you clasp in one had or both and just move and push the barrels to make them roll. The motion is really pleasing, super quiet and doesn’t look like a fidget toy to others not in the know. And because it’s metal you can also pop it in the freezer if you’re okay with cold sensory input and especially nice in the summer. 2. Stimara’s, the stimagz. A series of small magnetic sticks, usually you have a couple or more sets of them in your hand at a time. Just play and fidget by moving them around, creating shapes, unsticking them etc Again really quiet and also pretty unobtrusive for others. 3. Tangles. These come in lots of different colours and types. My favourite is the green with textured bumps. It’s a loop made up of intersecting curves. It is really satisfying to move all the individual pieces around, create shapes, or do repetitive movements. And the different textures are there to help with different things like skin scanning, self soothing etc

Stimagz?! I don’t know if you ever heard of Geomag..but they were kinda huge in the 00‘s I git them for my birthday when the additional sets with transparent shapes weren’t invented yet and construction was more „ball-and-magnetic-stick-connectors“- based

I might have to try something. I constantly shake my leg like I have restless leg syndrome but I don’t. Maybe a fidget would help.

Ohh I just realized. I absolutely cannot stop myself from twirling a pen around in my fingers. That’s on of the original fidgets for me. And hair twirling.
