From time to time. But itā€™s always better during summer when it can dry outside. But again. Everything is better when the sun shines šŸ˜…

Get more people involved. Use trash bags. But no not all the way yet.

Ugh. I have always hated basements, and my last basement was so amazing. I just had to downgrade and it is clean but I just am too depressed to go down there. I have a nanny who handles washing them, and then I fold and put away. Today I did 3 laundry baskets and it legit took over 2 hours. Perhaps thatā€™s also an ADHD thing šŸ˜…

It took some trials but I got a system now. I do mine every other week. No playing around with the date. I go to the laundromat early and get it done in 1-2 hours. I delegate folding to someone else.

Luckily I only have 3 people to worry about, I drop it off and have someone else do it. It then still sits waiting to be put away and never gets there lol

A basket for each person.... basic clothes get put in each basket... simple as that....if it doesn't need to be hung then why spend the time. Also the amount of clothes makes a difference. Our family tends to have favorites, so an outfit a day for casual and a couple for dress up and BAM easy peasy....

No my laundry monster has been with me for decades! With 7 people in my house itā€™s impossible to keep up.

I set aside a little time for it each day. Gather it one day at a time and when my hamper is full, into the washer it goes! I ask my husband to switch it over from washer to dryer because I will absolutely forget. The following day my laundry task consists of folding that load, and the day after that my task consists of putting it away. By that point, there are 2-3 days worth of laundry to be collected, and the hamper is probably half full, so I have 2-3 days of just collecting it before the wash/fold/put away part of the cycle!

Do the laundry and then place it on your bed. Thatā€™s how I get my laundry done

Yes as long as I follow my routines and dam it . It was actually working . As long as do min x 1 load per day. Listen to the audio modules in this app the one about routines .

Not yet, my washing machine broke and I procrastinated fixing it then I hyperfixated fixing it and it only took like 10 mins šŸ˜

This might help me because of my limited space.. but I keep my single load sized laundry bag on my dresser. If it gets too full it blocks a lot of space and I canā€™t really pile my clothes anywhere else in the space so the frustration of having to work around it usually encourages me to take care of laundry before the pile becomes unmanageable in an area of my room that I need consistent access to. Thatā€™s a run on sentence if Iā€™ve ever seen one. Lol

I'm trying, it usually reaches the point of I no longer have towels or clothes. But I do my laundry at my parents so cost isn't a problem unlike using the ones at my apartment, but it's hard to go to their place in comparison, bc I have to GO somewhere

I have started putting dirty clothes directly into the washer and when I notice resistance (like I have to shove rather than toss) I run it. It keeps the loads reasonable and I have to take out the dryer load to run the dryer so that seems to help. Re: folding - I seem to be okay if it's just a couple things so the mini loads don't overwhelm me. Otherwise I hang stuff up instead or lay it out flat in a stack like rugs in a store. Hope this helps!

I find that I usually get the motivation to do things at night so I wash my clothes dying the day and wait till like 10:30-12 to fold and put them away

I actually deal with this a lot, and unfortunately I havenā€™t mastered this JUST yet, but Iā€™ve set up days that align with what needs to be washed. Sundays - My hubbys (heā€™s got work uniforms) Mondays - my newborns stuff! Tuesdayā€™s - my things Wednesdays - towels Thursdays - boys do their own clothes (sort of) Fridays - no laundry day Saturdays - if thereā€™s anything necessary like sheets or the Highchair cover really needs it, or whites with bleaching etc I try to realistically do this and I only do that on that day - even if I have time for more. I donā€™t. Itā€™s breaking my regime if I do. Even if theyā€™re small loads, I just do it and put it on the light wash etc. My two eldest children are 7 and 10 and Iā€™ve had to practice patience and let go of control on laundry (obsessed with it hahaha) and they load in their clothes and they use a tide pod then I will help them move it to the dryer and they have folding devices to help them and they do what they can. I will never say no to helping them but I will not do it for them unless there is something specific that needs to be done. We sometimes donā€™t always hear our laundry either so we have a timer! I suck at not putting away my stuff and live out of laundry hampers - but because the loads get lighter because Iā€™m not waiting itā€™s become a lot less of a task to put it away!

Breaking it up into small tasks also helps me! Setting the expectation that I will only put one load on today and I donā€™t have to do anything more than that really helps! I find that I get upset if no one can be there with me to do my washing so itā€™s more stable if I split it up into smaller chunks every couple of days

I like to have a friend or my lil bro come over. I can usually wash my laundry ok, but folding it is another story, I def let it pile up till most of the clothes I own are stored clean on my bed. If I have someone coming over I sometimes ask if theyā€™d keep me company while I fold, or even help if theyā€™re up for it. We usually put on a show or some YouTube and that helps too.

So great that you get help with it, which country do you live in? I feel as if just thinking of it would be such an impossible thing where I live (Germany)

No I think Iā€™ve completely washed all my stuff and put it away maybe a few times a year. Almost easier to buy new clothesšŸ™ƒšŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ˜•

My partner and I call them laundry parties. We save a television show we want to watch or a podcast we want to listen to for Sunday (laundry day) and only allow ourselves to watch or listen to it if we are folding :)

Do you have someone to help you with getting it done? I just posted a similar thing! Have a look ^^* Do you have the intention to use the hot iron? Getting around this takes a huge part of the pressure- just needs some preparation if you want crease free laundry nonetheless. You can put 2-4 T-Shirts on each other and shaking it once or twice from each side, start by grabbing the sides and shaking it from the left and the right side, then shake by holding the shoulders and finally grabbing the bottom If you donā€™t habe that mich strength in your arms to shake 4 at once you can even do this with a single tee but the more you take at once the more they have self-decreasing power while shaking. Same with pants, shaking the legs of your denim once from the top and from the bottom does a lot, you can even do that while folded in half- but jeans are really much thougher The downside of this technique is that you need to be aware to grip them firmly and not get moved by the motion or your shoulders might hurt, or you hurt yourself while vigorously shaking garments and getting hot by flying buttons/studs/metal parts on long cords And depending on where you hang your laundry (if you do instead of using a dryer) the shaking procedure may stir up quite of dust- thatā€™s why I do the shirt over at the tub/in the bathroom Pants arenā€™t that big of a problem but in general anything that acts like a giant fan venting air around. And for putting away the laundry- I get motivated by seeing all the items neatly folded, then I will be eager enough most of the time to right away put them into their places in the closet/drawers- because that is actually the easiest part of doing the laundry for me

I do. My husband was in the military so he is AMAZING at folding. He folds all my clothes for me. I just donā€™t like the way he puts them away, lol. I donā€™t really iron. My main problem is consistently doing it. I let it pile up. So yes, he takes care of all of my clothes that need folding. I have a lot of clothes that are line dry and/or need to be hung up. So I still end up with a considerable amount to put away.
