Overwhelmed by stores?

Are there others who postpone grocery shopping because it just feels like climbing mountains? The sound, the people, smells, information and everything just give me a sensory overload šŸ˜³

Yes! Especially with a 4 year old I do mostly curbside pickups. But even the app shopping sometimes takes way too long bc there are more options than in store.

Yes Iā€™ve stopped bringing my 5 kids for this reason. Plus theyā€™re dad has spoiled them and now they think they need a treat every single time they go šŸ˜³

YES! Iā€™m like this with anything in which there will be crowds of any sort. I hate it because my fridge is always empty and I end up just ordering food. A few ways Iā€™ve been battling this is: - gamify it: I time box and then pretend itā€™s all a giant video game that I have to dodge other people in. (I know dorky) - Iā€™ll make it an outing with my wifeā€¦grocery shopping, very romantic. The odd thing for me is that I wasnā€™t like this growing up. I used to enjoy going out. Then after the great barricading in of 2020 it was like I turned into a hermit and canā€™t get out from under my rock.

I felt like I had prepared all life for Covid lockdowns šŸ˜… but I really liked your video game strategy šŸ˜
