We made a tiny mistake in Numo... Can you fix it?

It's me again, your favorite product guy at Numo, hopefully:)) As it turns out, the 'Ritual' option when creating a task isn't as clear as we thought. Whoops! So, let's fix this! If you could rename "Ritual" to something super-duper clear, what would it be? Routine? Repeat? Your option? Let's make Numo the most intuitive task master out there!!! And... did anyone notice our buddy Shakespeare pondering on the background image?? "To repeat, or not to repeat..."

Just had a thought about this, it would be really helpful to be able to take routine (ritual) tasks out of the list when prioritising tasks. Generally they're things that need doing at a similar time each day so the prioritisation is irrelevant but I still want to be able to prioritise my other tasks. Don't know if anyone else would find this helpful

I like ritual or routine but is there a way to choose to make it only certain days of the week? Ex. Mon -Fri? I have work rituals that don't need to be done on Saturdays and Sundays

Routine makes the most sense If you build a routine with subtasks, I think it would be cool to highlight each subtask as the main focus on the screen. So like if you have a morning routine, and maybe your first step is "brush your teeth", have that front and center in the screen, and when you do that task move on to the next one

Ritual confused me at first but I quickly figured out what it was. However, I do think that Routine sounds more familiar for a lot of people & I also like the idea of having intervals for repeating certain tasks. Challenges would be fun. A little competition seems to help motivate me sometimes too

I would prefer “routine” Thing you have to do regularly like brushing your teeth are routines for me. Taking a deep breath before going on the field and play some sports is a ritual for me.

As a person who joined NUMO yesterday, I have to say that routine is definitely the most clear. I was a bit confused with the ritual. 😄 Together with NUMO I downloaded about 4-5 different apps who claim to help with task management for ppl w ADHD and I have to say that NUMO stands out of the crowd! A few ideas that could be added: - possility to add reward amount for different types of tasks, if it's harder you can get more points. Also if there are subtasks, you get a point or points for each one of them so you feel the need to actually do and tick each one of them - possibility to color code your tasks by tags (you can switch that on or off as you like best). For example, work is green, home is blue etc - possibility to see/track more statistics - more achievements / badges - maybe possibility to compete in small groups? (I enjoy Duolingo weekly challenges)

I like the idea of a “ritual”option able to contain a subset of tasks ie/ skincare ritual containing 4 or 5 separate “steps” or tasks which is all part of my morning and evening “routine” and then anything I do everyday whether it be a ritual, routine, or stand alone task being a “repeat”. Does this make sense?

Yes. Absolutely! I’m still figuring out Numo so I’m sure I haven’t mastered the most efficient way to use it, but I feel that being able to perform a “ritual”, that word specifically, has a special kind of power to it, so it would be lovely to be able to include it in a routine… haha… I know it sounds weird/silly but that’s just my thoughts… like completing a “ritual” is its own reward…

Biggest mistake was when you deleted your team wars idea post on mine. Embarassing me with an out of context answer, I noticed that. 🤔 I am okay with Ritual but Routine seems better for me. Would be nice to have more options on Interval - Weekly, monthly.

This! Routine does make more sense on a daily basis, since it describes better than Ritual or Habits - although we'd probably like to make it into habits.... OH NO because then we wouldn't use Numo anymore :')

How about adding the possibility to repeat routines twice a month or every two weeks? Now I need to create two separate tasks for it.

Another though I have had regarding “ritual”. You can only put the repeat on once a week or once a month, but then only on a specific date… if I want to for example shower my plants every 4th Sunday, or cut my cats claws every other sunday, then there is no option to save that as a repetitive routine…. Is there a way to fix that? 😁✨

Good morning! Thank you for your reply! ⭐️ I have been just skipping doing the task, but to have the ritual once a month, but on a specific weekday I need to have it as a weekly task, and unfortunately I get lost about when I’m supposed to do it when it pops up so often and then I have to remember (which I’m not very good at) when I’m actually supposed to do it…. I’m not sure I’ve seen that you can skip a task beforehand… I will create a test ritual and check if I understand the hack you mention… Otherwise how about implementing the possibility of saving tasks as a draft, (and not as a ritual), so that you easily can activate on a specific date and then when it’s ticket off, it’s still saved as a draft and you can activate it on a new date…. Would that be easier to code?

I kind of liked ritual, it sounded a bit like a quirky version of routine. But routine is just as fine 😊
