« That girl ! » is def not me

Do other ppl get that sad that they are not « that girl » like i cannot stick to a diet to save my life, i barely work out, i eat junk or nothing at all like, :( i wanna be that girl too, urg. Ive tried so many sport and never get the motivation to just…well do it ? Idk if im asking for advice or venting, maybe both to be honest (But it did work with the food post so why not, share it again)

My biggest challenge was skincare! Either I had not (taken) enough time for my morning routine or I'd fall asleep on the sofa without putting off my make up and just go straight to bed. My skin was pretty awful! Now I've invented a routine for about 2 months that helps me do it, let's see how that works out on the long run. It's like this: waking up, feeding cat, fresh water, cat toilet, which is straight under the sink in the bathroom so I'll wash my hands and go straight to facecare, make-up and clothes. Also: I convinced myself to do 10 Minutes of stretching (Yoga) a day, either morning or evening. Sometimes I'll instead take a walk, or go skiing, and count that too. But at least I hold myself accountable to SOME movement in any kind via Numo. Some of my tasks I see as "must do" and some are "optional". Celebrate every little step towards the goal! You thinking about making it better is already the start to a better connection to your body needs! 🥰

This is my biggest struggle! I really want to be that girl with limitless energy and motivation to take care of myself and move.. I always get ideas and start up but then it just runs out in the sand.. Can never seem to hold on to anything which is good for my mental and physical health.. Instead I'm mostly sitting at home and just doing the bare minimum of what I have to do to just get the days to go around without falling apart..

I feel ya. I've been trying for almost 4 years now to lose weight. I try really hard to create a routine of exercises and diet but it's always a rollercoaster... 1 of success, 2 weeks of failing. Sometimes, months. I will not give up. Somehow, I do believe I can accomplish my goals. But I definitely don't have an efficient strategy yet :/ What I know is that at least through success and failure I develop a better understanding of myself. Maybe that's the point: learn and learn from experiences until one day our knowledge begins to grow as a habit. #KeepGoing

I feel this so hard! I don’t have a solution on how to become << that girl >>. I feel this way often myself. The only thing that’s helped me is learning to be kinder to myself, which is an ongoing process. What’s helped me do that is this book (reading it for 2nd time right now): “The Gift of Imperfection” by Dr. Brené Brown. This book helps me to actively think of ways I can be kinder to myself, & when I do that, I tend to invest more in my physical health, appearance, etc. Highly recommend the book (audiobook available) P.S.: 1st time I read the book was during my depression a few years back. Really helped me then. My mental health has bounced back since then. Reading this book 2nd time now, I’m taking away so many new lessons and learning new skills.

Here’s a link to information on the book: https://brenebrown.com/book/the-gifts-of-imperfection/ On the website, you can also find Dr. Brown’s Ted Talks, which are also a good watch.
