a tip for remembering what did you want to take in a room
This may be helpful not only for people diagnosed with adhd, but also for everyone who may be forgetful in everyday life, when trying to remember which object you needed to find in another room (or in the same room while easily distracted) holding a thought in mind that you wanted to take scissors from kitchen may be hard, and usually you'll have to come back and find what triggered that thought and remember that you needed scissors I found helpful making hand gestures of a needed object (and sometimes action) and repeating/holding that gesture until you get what you needed So that if you forget what did you enter a room for - you can just look at your hand that holds a gesture that makes sense to you (it may look strange to others, but more importantly - it'll save your time)
