Mary Jane helps my ADHD

I’m a daily smoker and seriously don’t know what I’d do without her. THC helps me focus, keeps me calm, and improves my sleep. Anybody else use this for their ADHD? 💕

💯 swear hands down that the sweet Mary Jane is so good for ADHD. When I smoke weed I’m up active focused not on edge 24/7 and can actually handle people and being out in public because I don’t have ten raging anxiety and I’m not pinging off the walls. 4yrs ago when my older 3 childrens father committed suicide was the worst time of my life and if it hadn’t of been for Mary Jane I get goosebumps thinking of the carnage I came so close to unleashing that weed was the only thing that helped because I don’t know sorry didn’t know how to regulate my emotions and it was horrific. I started a new job an had to close up tills and all the different codes for the safes an doing all the takings and when I went for the job I was stoned and still manic asf an nailed the interview but the one night I went to work not stoned I lost all my bearings couldn’t stay focused an at the end of night I couldn’t even balance of the takings because I couldn’t remember the order of the codes to print of the different things an my boss rang the next morning to make sure I was ok because of the mess is left her to sort out. And I have to say I’ve never gone to work not stoned ever again.

Used to. All the time. For years. You think it does but actually it doesn't. It makes things harder. It's self medication. Mindfulness does same. I used to get annoyed at the thought of meditating even and have slipped recently. My dog died. I skinned up after years of not and before I knew it I was wanting one in the morning and back to stressed and angry if I didn't. Doesn't take long. I was told I was emotionally immature as always had some way to switch up thought and calm down or so i thought. I was really annoyed at this comment but ha e since discovered it was true. I hate being a slave to anything. It's only nicotine spray now I use. I didn't know it was a stimulant and has been tested for adhd treatment but when they remove the addictive bit it doesn't work. It took cancer for me to stop. I hope you can too. I'd suggest cookies or chocolate or vape to cut down. One night it was 10pm and I hadn't yet and I thought fuck it let's try it. So I did it. After all the psychedelic nightmares in technicolour it felt better. Now I see friends who I want to help but I know it has to come from them. Find a mindfulness class and make yourself do it. I stated once a week and low and behold as soon as I took it up again I've dogged it. Back with the programme and not beating myself up for temporary slip up. Be free my adhd friend. Oh and I now buy lots of clothes I don't put away or wear instead. Being stoned was kind of a way to hide things and then when I wasn't I thought oh god. I'm stoned naturally. Good luck. Not sure this app will help as I just wanted the two bold letter text on my phone but j stead my hair is saying frizzy and I'm telling a complete stranger possibly too much 🤣 good luck friend xx

It definitely helps me actually relax! I just haven’t quite figured out how to do it 😅. I won’t smoke, I’ve tried a couple vapes and they always seem to break, so I currently take the gummies but I really don’t like the idea of routinely eating a bunch of sugar 😬 This is how difficult I make everything 😅

Also, look into the “FRYD” brand for vapes. They’re the only ones that don’t break for me, no matter how many times I drop them!

If it helps, my doctor actually prefers me to use a pipe or bong versus rolling joints or using a vape. I still do, of course, but the first few methods are better for your lungs because there’s no added toxins. I’ve also tried THC-infused coffee which is awesome!

I think everyone is different. My cousin has to smoke through out the day to function with his adhd symptoms. I don’t smoke often, mainly when I’m really stressed and need that extra leveler.

I do not smoke generally, as I become a complete moron on it, like totally stupid. However, I find that sativa gummies help ALOT, but not if I eat them every day. Then it seems counter-productive. But if I just eat them maybe once or twice a week, they can be very beneficial in 5mg - no more than 10mg doses. Then I can focus on something I’m not so interested in, like some of my classes, and their subsequent homework. It also helps immensely when I am unable to relax or feel compelled to do that next task. But, as everyone else has commented, only Sativa. Indica is too, too much! Even the hybrid sits me down and out for too long. Not relaxing, but catatonic!

I did for something else, but I realize now I liked it more bc it helped with symptoms of my undiagnosed adhd. As I’ve learned MJ is not so helpful in the long run for adhd, on top of getting relief from actual adhd meds I still use it for my other condition but very sparingly. I’ve decreased my dose and use it on a different schedule than before. But…. Yes, it really does give relief when you use it. I liked using sativa… maybe bc it slowed me down and allowed me to think clearly? As I’m aging I can’t help But think about issues related to it like psychosis.

Hey. Smoker here. I can relate to what BOTH of you have said in regards to regular THC use. Thing is I also have fibromyalgia and hate pharmaceuticals…. So seems it’s the best option for me. Different strains have very different effects though. I try to stick with higher ‘sativa’ which seems to be energising, vs ‘indica’ which is greater for pain relief but also makes you lethargic and/or sleepy…. It’s now legal with a private prescription so there surely will be specialist doctors online that can help advise better than I for anyone that thinks it might also help them. :)

THC drops dopamine and we with ADHD already have low dopamine. I quit that stuff it was a NIGHTMARE. I have never been so active and happy without it! Just saying, but hey if it's your thing, it's your thing. THC also decreases your time in REM sleep, so it's actually not an improvement. It's why people rarely have dreams.
