Doing work in my favorite environments

For me personally my favorite place to be in the world is within nature. For example, the beach or a cozy forest, even the country on land wherever is peaceful and doesn't have too many different things going on. I like to be barefoot with my feet in the sand or the grass or water and to meditate so I've found that when I'm in those places after I do a short meditation and some breathing exercises, I get a burst of energy and then sudden desire to get shit done. I will bring my work with me there and just do whatever I'm able to get done while in that energy and it tends to be very productive for me.

Totally get this. I actually do my best written work especially drafting/copywriting at the beach! Something about the sound of the waves I guess it’s like white noise or something. And I think the fresh air helps and getting away from my cluttered desk and just writing old school method with a notebook and a pen. I can sit at my computer for hours agonizing over a few short paragraphs or spend 1-2 hours at the beach with a notebook and pen and knock out an entire article or all the copy for a whole series of landing pages, proofread and edit pages on end, outline an entire new client project, etc.

Love all this! I hate shoes, too, and kick them off as soon as I get home. Since I live alone, my home is my sanctuary. My plants and my pets are my companions and my little bit of nature. There are some beautiful parks nearby and I’m close to where the river divides. I’m a homebody (and often isolate myself) and hope to build the habit of getting out more often to explore them.

This is why I get SAD in the winter, we have dark wet winters and I can't get outside as much 😔

I am kinda the same way. I am so relaxed in nature. I love being barefoot. I cannot stand shoes. At home I feel overwhelmed and no energy to do anything
