My adrenaline is not kicking in anymore at the last minute

You know how you procrastinate, but then at the very end of a deadline, your adrenaline kicks in and helps you finish it? I don't have that anymore. I don't understand why. Has anyone else lost this last minute help? Despite the consequences, I've not done anything, and lost my housing, car, everything that I own- almost got kicked out of college, because I can't get it together, even at the last minute anymore.

Mine stopped doing it when I started having panic attacks and anxiety attacks and depression. It was too much pressure eventually and the depression made me hopeless so…i just kept frozing and giving up, instead of powering through, which I used to do until 21 years old.

I wish I knew this sooner, my complex ptsd and adhd has got in the way of a lot of my goals, people generally don’t understand and think that I don’t care which isn’t the case…

Ask for help as soon as you can. And find a good therapist for you. If it is just beginning it is easier to deal with.

Ask for help, basically in a form of psychiatrist + psychologist. Don’t be afraid of medications as its effectiveness is really high for ADHD symptoms. It’s honestly the only way out in extreme cases. Good luck 👍

I lost it too and I thought it is because I started the treatment of "generalized anxiety" (I also have depression and taking antidepressants too)

I do too! I've been on antidepressants for 25 years. I've never thought that that could be the reason why...
