Job hopping?

Does anyone else get bored with their job? Like it isn’t intellectually challenging enough to want to get out of bed in the morning? Or once you’ve become so good at it that is boring and you want to try something new? I wish someone in my formative years would have told me that I’d never be satisfied and that I’d become a jack of all trades because of it. Please tell me I’m not alone in this chaos?

I found a job I hated (recruitment) 10 years ago and I'm still here. The trick? I'm not recruiting anymore. I've taken on the role of being the one with innovative ideas and projects for the team. My hyperfixation on new technologies paid off

I just got hired, accepted an offer from a different company, and now got a better THIRD offer that isn’t absolute garbage. Do what’s best for you. Companies don’t have loyalty to employees anymore. No need to treat them any different than they treat you.

I am right in the middle of a potential job transition and am super hesitant to take the lunge. Any advice you guys have?😀

This is totally me. I feel under valued once i get a hang of stuff i am doing. Somehow the more i get good at it, the more insecure i get.

I also left education because I felt like my left leaning views were unwelcomed

It shouldn’t be that way. A little more left would make everything alright!!

I feel like I keep building my life in 4 year chunks. Every 4 years since high school I’ve switched up my life drastically. I’m currently back at some jobs i previously held, but other things are different.

I quit my fairly lucrative sales job cause it just wore me down and I ended up working in a kitchen - I hate it lol we gotta get back to the office somehow

100% - I’ve got a super generalist knowledge in my sector from hopping from job role to job role. Luckily it’s not turned out too badly for me, but I feel lucky I went into a creative-ish industry where it’s paid off!

You should try social work. It's a great field, and it allows you to do a variety of different jobs

I keep going back and forth between education and social research. I really want to combine the two, but public education really doesn’t want social reform…or anyone who is enlightened at all. It’s really frustrating and i feel suppressed in my own intellectual property!!
