Help with mentality

Hi everyone, I love my job but Iā€™m finding it very difficult to try and develop a routine and concentrate on getting small tasks done what can I do to try and improve my mood instead of beating myself up all the time and making things worse Any books or routines?

It's hard to make / find a routine for me too! I can have a perfect routine for morning and evening but in the middle, when I'm working, it's always winging it. šŸ˜‚ I have written so many routines over the years but I find it hard to keep up with them as life gives many changes all the time. I have done something following current routine I made for myself in Google calendar, but it's a small part of it. šŸ˜ I guess my biggest takeaway is that you need to be realistic how much you can do in the given time + preparing and planning also takes time and it should be part of the routine. Also - a very good strategy is to have themed days - Mondays are computer work, Tuesdays are meeting clients etc. What fits your to do list! All the best!

Hey and good morning! My routine or to get remembered are to write a weekly plan every sunday. There I can write things like small or big thinks. It is a bit challenging to keep up with writing one, but when you lock on to writing one every Sunday it helps a lot. A big factor is to write that analog. With the plan on a physical paper you can not swipe it away and the plan will always be there on your desk to remember you. You can, when you have done the task, check it with a pen. Another strategy is to buy bright colored postit notes which you can stick on a place where you can see it. Make a mental note to that postit (you can write on it but a blank postit is sufficient) with the task you must do and pinit after the mental note taking. When the task is finished rip that paper in half and feel statisfied. And another important thing: dont forget that book reading can be a task in itself. Not every book is the right book. For example the Getting things done Book is a not ADHD friendly summary of tipps that dont stick or linger. All the best !
