Medicine

Who take what? How does it work? I'll go first... I used to take 30mg of Adderall IR twice a day but recently my new doctor switched me to 30mg XL Focolin Once per day. ER never work for me I do not know why. The Focolin doesn't work at all, not even a little. It doesn't even fell like I took anything. The reason I switched is because sometimes my adderall was making me tired. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I felt like I built immunity to it. I'm going to see if she can swing me back.

It is so so frustrating, but medication works so differently for everyone. It works differently for the same person at different points in their life. It’s so incredibly frustrating. If there’s something that works, & your & your provider agree that there are no particular things to worry about re: comorbidities, stick with it if you possibly can. I really wish I had something more useful to add bc I so understand this struggle!!

And then again it might be an excellent population from which to gather anecdotal information which could help RC ask her licensed provider better questions to get to the right treatment for her quicker. I’m new to medications and started with the non-stimulant options which were not helpful. I’ve not been on either of the two you mentioned. I take 40mg vyvanse and so far so good. I don’t “feel like” I took anything on it I just feel like my decision making gears are freshly greased! I have no side effects of fatigue or anything.

Maybe this community is not the best place for discussing medical treatment. There are educated people doing that. No hard feelings, but we don't know about other people's real condition.
