Why is it so hard to wake up?!

I have to set multiple alarms, alarms across the room, alarms that scare me awake so bad that I get upset and go back to sleep haha Basically tried everything. And I feel like the issue is I am never awake enough to realise I need to get up. It gets to a point where I sleep through the first 10 alarms and slowly become conscious after a while, and then I’m too sleepy to wake up and fall back asleep -.- It doesn’t change when I get enough sleep either. I’ve heard many things saying it’s relating to ADHD but wondering if anyone else has this issue, and if you do, what have you tried to do about it?

Yeeessss..I thought it was just me that gas that problem. I will set 10 alarms and hit snooze on the first 5 and then the others I just sleep through.

And I have a loud, really annoying alarm clock which i put somewhere else in the room cause my phone doesn't really wake me up. But i still set phone alarms for after that to stay awake..

Yes I feel you. And throughout the day I am often tired like i didn't sleep enough. Maybe it's like with narcolepsy that the sleep process isn't working properly like the brain doesn't know how to be awake properly but also not how to be asleep properly. That at least is how narcolepsy works. But maybe it isn't just the AD(H)D and you and me have a bit narcolepsy as well lol..

I really really feel this too and have often wondered if it’s narcolepsy. Have been to so many practitioners and tried so many things. If you find an answer I’d love to know!!

I am freelancing with different time to wake up every day. So I started a routine to have an alarm one minute before the final alarm. As an example: 7:59 first alarm (two meters from my bed) 8:00 final alarm (next room or anything you need to shut that timer off while you are already standing)

This happens to me too. It took some work, but establishing a “regular” routine helps your brain and body sync better.
