For my first year of medication (ritalin) I felt like I had superpowers 😅 I took the pill and in like an hour I had a clear mind and I just knew where to start doing stuff...magic 🤣🤣 Eventually the superhero phase faded...my doc explained that it's normal, because we hit a maximum performance or something...a plateu? Not sure if this word is correct. I switched to vynvanse too and it worked better, but the superhero effect rarely happens anymore. I think it's kind of a perspective thing also....like, I couldn't concentrate and had awful executive function, suddenly for the first time I got those, so I felt like superhuman, but I was just experiencing a neurotipycal way...with time it just became my new baseline of functioning. So it's not like the beginning, but I still see a very clear difference from a day with and without meds

My doctor put me on extended release meds and I don’t really feel that they are working as well as immediate release would. Are yall on extended or immediate release? What are the differences? I’m new to this.

I found an alternative to medication that works really well and it has no crash at the end! It’s called Grey Matter and it basically a powder that you add water to and it tastes like strawberry lemonade!

oh yeah i have the entire thing mapped out lmao. like, the first 30 mins after i get really talkative, then normal for an hour or so and then that peak you’re talking about, and sometimes when there’s a random rush i check the time and see that it’s about to end (my 2nd dose legit only lasts for 4 hours consistently 😠even tho it’s supposed to be 5) and it’s like clockwork the peak and then the slight burst right at the end before the crash

Definitely not alone, I feel it my stomach first and within an hour I peak. Talking to much. Don’t get discouraged about it meds, there doing wat they were designed to do. It’s just how our body metabolized.

On Concerta, and yes, I can feel that uptake of “alright, let’s do this!” kind of energy toward the beginning. It does tend to wear off; so little bits of caffeine for me all day, it is. 👍🏼
