Medication

How do you go about telling your provider you don't think your meds are working? I have seen a very slight (if any at all) improvement regarding my symptoms & just feel like it should be more than that. Any advice helps

Don't be embarrassed to tell your medical provider you don't think your meds are working. It is very typical that dosage or medication may need to be changed. It’s no big deal. What is a big deal is open communication with your provider!!!

Id ask those around you also, if they arent working. My daughter swore her anxiety meds weren't working, but the difference between her on and off is like day and night. Off she's irritable, bitchy, more impatient etc. Shes starting to see it now, luckily

Yes keep a journal and put things in writing. That helps you see them more clearly. Then you can summarize paragraph and bring it with you to your appointment to remind you of what to say

Write down what signs indicate they’re not working. Time, effect, trend

Tell them that - they realize that the meds work differently for different people and we develop tolerance for it over time

If you aren’t comfortable enough with your provider to express concerns regarding your own well being…. Maybe you should consider changing providers. Just my .02
