The overwhelming desire to be on time…

Has lead me to procrastinating the entire day using the appointment as an excuse to not do anything else. Example: be there at 1pm. Get up at 8, eat get ready by 10, search for everything to leave the house until 11:30. Leave the house by 12, Arrive at 12:15. Sit in car until 1pm.

It's called time blindness. It can affect you either way, putting you super behind, and late, or super early. Our brains don't understand the concept of time. Your brain can't keep track/comprehend how long it will take you to do anything from how long it takes you to brush your teeth in the morning to how long getting to a new place will take. So we cope with either admitting defeat and be late, or giving ourselves waaay too much time to get there early. Tiimo is an app designed for time blindness. Im not 100% in love with it, but I do like it most of all the routine apps I've tried. Doing your own research into time blindness will also help you get a better understanding of it than my butchered summary of it 😉

I am the opposite. Be some where by 1 pm. - Sleep in until 11.30 am - check my phone - play silly phone games - check socials - play another game - get up and make a coffee - drink coffee leisurely - Get in the shower - try to decide what to wear. - change mind about outfit - change mind about outfit again (x3) - Dry hair (20 min) - get dressed - makeup - leave for app at 1.05 pm Arrive, completely frazzled at 1.30 pm which is exactly on time because anyone who knows me will always tell me to be at the app. 30 min before it actually starts. 😊 I always put appointments in my calendar 1/2 hour early too.
