Does music help you focus?

I find it to help with my motivation most of the time if it’s upbeat, but I haven’t really found any that helps me “focus”

Yes, different music types, white/brown noise, spatial audio. Depends on one’s preferences and whether one has misophonia altogether or to certain types of sounds. I like chillhouse, classical, ocean waves, etc. when focusing on work tasks.

At work I usually cannot focus because of fight or flight. I use down tempo music to bring me back. My most favorite is Emancipator. Sounds like downtempo nature

For me it depends on what im focusing on. If im cleaning house... upbeat and fun... if im focusing on chillin.... chillpop. But I have yet to really find anything when im processing information such as reading or writing. I think I just get way to overstimulated....

Yes! I have found that certain kinds of music help me focus on some things. It’s more across the board, but sometimes helpful. If I’m doing computer work I listen to things like Magic Sword or The Chemical Brothers. It’s subjective I think, but can be helpful.
